Morgen Abschluss der Top-4-Serie Vom 7.10.2011
Windhoek – Am morgigen Samstag werden beim Sportklub Windhoek (SKW) in Olympia sowie beim Ramblers FC in Pionierspark die abschließenden Rückrundenspiele der Jugendfußball-Serie Top 4 ausgetragen. Los geht es bei den Ramblers um 8.30 Uhr, ehe ab 9 Uhr auch beim SKW der Ball bis zum frühen Nachmittag rollt. Im Anschluss an die entscheidenden Partien werden die erstplatzierten Teams der fünf teilnehmenden Altersgruppen (die unter Siebenjährigen bis zur U11 bei den Ramblers sowie die U13 und 15 beim SKW) mit Pokalen ausgezeichnet. SKW, Rammies & Swallows victorious in youth champs
WINDHOEK – Both Cymot Sport Klub Windhoek (SKW) Under-13 and Under-15 football teams won the their respective age group sections in the Top 4 City Youth Cup in the Namibian capital Windhoek last weekend.
There were also wins for Swallows in both the Under-7 and Under-11 age groups while Ramblers took honours in the highly competitive Under-9 age category.
The young Imawida had to win their final matches to secure victory in the youth tourney that saw the two golden age groups adding the Top 4 title to their names.
The Germans Under-15s have been victorious twice over the last fortnight – winning at the annual SFC youth tournament in Swakopmund, while the Under-13s returned the compliment with their 4th major trophy this season.
Swallows controlled proceedings in the Under-7 and Under-11 age groups and almost made a clean sweep by winning all three age groups, and were denied by Ramblers who snatched the Under-9 age category from under their noses after the Tunschel Street youngsters saw off Swallows in a nail-biter to claim victory.
The Top 4 tourney is the brainchild of Ramblers and SKW and is primarily aimed at giving upcoming and talented footballers more exposure to display their football skills in a competitive environment.
Rammies hosted the Under-7, Under-9 and Under-11’s while Imawida played hosts to the Under-13 and Under-15’s.
Apart from the joint hosts, other participating teams were: Swallows, Rebels, NYFDP (Namibian Youth Football Development Program) and KFA (Khomas Football Academy).

Top-4-Serie: Doppel-Triumph für SKW und Swallows
Fünf Altersklassen in Aktion: Tore, Spaß und Pokale – Sportklub und Ramblers feiern Abschluss des Jugendfußball-Events
Windhoek - Die Jugendfußballer vom Sportklub Windhoek (SKW) und dem Swallows FC haben der erstmals ausgetragenen Top-4-Serie mit jeweils zwei Turniersiegen ihren Stempel aufgedrückt. Der im Liga-Modus ausgetragene Pokalwettbewerb für ausgewählte Jugendmannschaften aus Windhoek hat am Samstag auf der Ramblers-Anlage in Pionierspark sowie beim Sportklub im Süden der Stadt ihren Abschluss gefunden. Die unter sieben- bis unter elfjährigen Nachwuchskicker jagten bei den Ramblers dem runden Leder hinterher, während die U13- und U15-Partien beim SKW ausgetragen wurden.
In den unteren Altersgruppen dominierten die Swallows das Geschehen und lange Zeit sah es so aus, als ob ihnen von der U7 bis zur U11 ein Titel-Hattrick gelingen könnte. Tatsächlich sicherten sich die „Schwalben“ bei den Jüngsten und im U11-Wettbewerb jeweils den ersten Platz und damit die Siegerpokale. Doch in der U9-Abschlusstabelle hatte am Ende die Mannschaft der gastgebenden Ramblers aufgrund der besseren Tordifferenz die Nase vorn.
Bei den unter 13-Jährigen war der SKW mit sechs Punkten Vorsprung in die abschließenden Rückrundenspiele auf seiner heimischen Anlage gegangen. Mit einem 2:0-Erfolg gegen die am Ende mit acht Zählern Rückstand zweitplatzierte Auswahl des Namibian Youth Development Programmes (NYFDP) brachte die SKW-Elf den Titelgewinn unter Dach und Fach. Romarlin Brandt und Donovan Boois hatten jeweils nach Vorarbeit von Kapitän Olaf Beiter für die entscheidenden Treffer gesorgt.
Im U15-Wettbewerb wurde der Titelträger in der letzten Partie ermittelt. Der SKW hatte nach einem 4:1-Sieg gegen den Erzrivalen Ramblers drei Punkte Rückstand auf den Spitzenreiter Rebels FC und stand somit im direkten Duell unter Zugzwang. Ein Treffer von Wilem Tjizu reichte dem Gastgeberteam zu einem 1:0-Sieg und damit doch noch zum umjubelten Titelgewinn.
